Welcome! (top)
THIS IS A HISTORICAL WEBSITE, FOR ARCHIVAL PURPOSES ONLY. During my academic career, I was a postdoc in the group on Computer Supported Cooperative Work and Social Media at the University of Siegen, in the Philanthropic Informatics Lab of Amy Voida at the School of Informatics and Computing at Indiana University, Indianapolis (IUPUI), and in the interdisciplinary research center on Participatory IT (PIT) at Aarhus University. In May 2013, I received a PhD degree from Aarhus University with my dissertation titled “Situating Engagement: Ubiquitous Infrastructures for In-Situ Civic Engagement.” Susanne Bødker was my thesis advisor. In the winter of 2011/12, I was a visiting scholar at the Mobile Life Centre in Stockholm, Sweden. I graduated in information systems from the University of Siegen with a Dipl.-Wirt.Inform. degree in the summer of 2009. In Siegen, I have been a student research assistant in the group of Volker Wulf and Volkmar Pipek. In my studies, I have previously been at TU Ilmenau, Germany and Tongji University, Shanghai, China.
