I am a postdoc in the Philanthropic Informatics Lab of Amy Voida at the School of Informatics and Computing, Indiana Univsersity, Indianapolis (IUPUI). Before coming to the States, I was a postdoc in the interdisciplinary research center on Participatory IT (PIT) at Aarhus University. In May 2013, I received a PhD degree from Aarhus University with my dissertation titled “Situating Engagement: Ubiquitous Infrastructures for In-Situ Civic Engagement”. Susanne Bødker was my thesis advisor. In the winter of 2011/12, I was a visiting scholar at the Mobile Life Centre in Stockholm, Sweden. I graduated in information systems from the University of Siegen with a Dipl.-Wirt.Inform. degree in the summer of 2009. In Siegen, I have been a student research assistant in the group of Volker Wulf and Volkmar Pipek. In my studies, I have previously been at TU Ilmenau, Germany and Tongji University, Shanghai, China.
